The Mosty Law Firm is directed by Richard C. Mosty, with his son and associate, C. Dixon Mosty.

Richard C. Mosty

Richard Mosty received his J.D. from St. Mary's University in 1976, graduating with honors.

Working as Assistant District Attorney for nine counties in the 198th and 216th Judicial Districts from 1976 to 1978, Richard tried many cases to jury verdict both as a prosecutor and defense attorney. These cases included five capital murder cases tried to jury verdict which included voir dire examination of over 1000 prospective jurors, providing unprecedented experience in jury selection.

Since the mid 1980's the practice has been devoted to civil litigation. Richard has subsequently tried almost every type of civil case to jury verdict. Richard is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Specialization, and the National Board of Trial Advocacy. In 2006, Richard was named as a Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly, and has been named by a poll of local attorneys in Texas Lawyer.

Dixon Mosty joined the Firm in 2005. He received his J.D. from St. Mary's in 2003, graduating Magna Cum Laude, after a year of excellent mentoring at Cox Smith Matthews. Dixon Mosty was a Research/Articles Editor for the St Mary's Law Journal, as well as interning with Justice Paul Green at the 4th Court of Appeals and the Hon. Orlando Garcia at the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas.

In addition to his civil trial practice, Dixon also serves as an assistant Distric Attorney in the 198th Judicial District, gaining valuable trial experience.
